Dr S Manthira Moorthi rises from a humble social background and the college education received from Aditanar college of Arts and Science was transformational in his life. He fondly remembers the mentoring by the faculties of various departments and the principal of the college during the period 1984-1987 and beyond. He has further received MSc (Applied Physics) from GRI, Gandhigram and PhD in Computational Physics from SRM university. He is serving as a senior scientist in ISRO and contributing in Earth & Planetary remote sensing missions as a data scientist. He joined Signal and Image Processing Group, Space Applications Centre (ISRO), Ahmedabad in 1991.He served as an Adhoc lecturer in ACAS in 1989, a computer Administrator in Gandhigram Rural Institute (GRI) in 1990 and a research Scholar in IIT-Kanpur in 1991 before joining ISRO. Dr S Manthira Moorthi’ areas of expertise and research interests are in geometric modeling, optical satellite image processing, Computer Vision, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning based data processing solutions, space science data management, and open archive models. He has been the data processing & archive scientist for Chandrayaan-1 the ISRO maiden planetary mission uand the Mars Orbiter Mission also. He received ISRO team excellence awards for ground operations for both missions in the year 2008 and 2014 respectively. He has several publications in reputed international journals in the disciplines of his research interests.

The years spent in Aditanar College has been a life changing one for me. As a teenager who did all his schooling outside Tamil Nadu (as my father was in Army), it was not easy to settle down in the remote town like Tiruchendur. But as days progressed, I started enjoying my maiden hostel life, living with amazing fellow students from all walks of life. Beyond the academic excellence, Aditanar College instilled a great sense of moral values and helped me in transforming into a wholesome person. The rich foundational knowledge gained in those 3 years helped in excelling at my Post graduation and in building a career at a global organization like HCL. I am happy to share that everybody in my batch have excelled in their professional life and we owe this success to all the great staffs of Aditanar College. Aditanar college was a turning point in my life, apart from the technical skills which we gained doing my undergraduate it gave us enough confidence that we can face the world with the life lessons we learned there. It instilled an enormous confidence that we can learn and achieve anything as we are ingrained to look things from first principle approach. The Institution’s culture instils a rare trait in us, that is, you are no less than anyone, which helps us face the world with so much confidence. We have enormous access to books in library with no limit on how many books to borrow and when to return, and access to the computer lab whenever we need it. During our time, getting access to a computer and having a support system to nature one’s talent was unheard. Aditanar college gave everything an aspiring youth needed, helped us to compete in various computer related competition with full support that helped in nurturing the competitive spirt that is very useful in latter part of our life. Aditanar college was a wonderful experience.

Won medals and awards in the State and University Level Competitions in Verse Writing and Short Story Writing in Tamil and English. Dinesh Vedanayagam is an alumni of Aditanar College of Arts and Science, Tiruchendur between 1995 and 1998 and holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science. During this tenure he also served as Cadet Captain at NCC Navy Wing. Based in Bangalore, India, Dinesh has more than 24 years of technology leadership spanning cloud services, machine learning and analytics, global IT business services, storage, networking, backup, and infrastructure. Prior to his role, he has experience working with start-up to large multi-national organizations, with broad knowledge base and successful track record in new product architecture and development, testing, automation, and operations. Dinesh is an Innovative multidimensional R&D leader experienced in developing competitive software products with exceptional quality, scalable performance, frequently operating in mission critical environments.

My learning (curricular & extra-curricular) of 3 years in Adtanar College is the foundation of all the developments in life. I am lifelong indebted to our college as the 100% Management Scholarship (by our college management) and the NCC Naval wing scholarship (by Govt. of India) helped me to complete B.Sc (Chemistry) in our college and B.Tech (Instrumentation) in Madras Institute of Technology, Anna University. The Chemistry department, the NCC Naval wing and the Gandhi Hostel, all trained / helped me to focus on the future. I am perpetually thankful to the Founder, Si.Pa.Aditanar for having the foresight to start the college in Tiruchendur for the betterment of the rural youth. Also, thankful to Dr.B.Sivanthi Adityan and Dr.R.Kanaga Sabapathi for giving me the opportunity to study in the great Aditanar College.

Sivalingam hails from agricultural background around Tiruchendur and he fulfilled his Engineering aspirations through the Science degree he obtained from Aditanar College of Art and Science. He was always part of various science forums, vocational courses held in the college during study and thereafter. With the BSc Physics as a eligibility degree and valuable guidance from the Principal and faculty members of the college, he further secured his B.Tech in his passionate topic of Electronics Engineering from Madras Institute of Technology(M.I.T), Chennai followed by M.S in Software Systems from Birla Institute of Technology and Science(BITS), Pilani. He joined Defence Research and Development Organisation(DRDO), Ministry of Defence as a Scientist and played significant role in the development of Kaveri Engine for the India’s prestigious Indigenous Light Combat Aircraft(LCA). Then he Joined Motorola India Limited in 1995 and spread his contribution to international arena around personal communication devices such as Pagers and mobile phones. Currently he works as a R&D leader in HP India and holds responsibility for Inkjet and LaserJet Printer development for personal and enterprise segments worldwide.

I am Shri Solomon Jebastian Andrew Peter I.R.S, presently working as Assistant Commissioner (CGST) in Tirunelveli. Hailing from Vellalanvilai Village, Near Tiruchendur, Thoothukudi District I have completed B.Sc Computer Science (1988 – 1991) at Aditanar College of Arts and Science, Tiruchendur. After completing the College education, joined duty as Inspector of Central Excise & Customs at Madurai on 1991. Promoted as Superintendent on 2008. Promoted as Assistant Commissioner on 2023. I have Worked in various capacities as Inspector and Superintendent in Central Excise & Customs in the Madurai, Tirunelveli & Thoothukudi areas. When I was studying at Aditanar College of Arts and Science, I led the Kabaddi team as Captain representing Madurai Kamaraj University. Represented the Tamilnadu State as a Kabaddi team player and won the National Championship during 1994 & 1995. Represented the Central Excise Department as a Kabaddi player in Department level competitions and won the championship several times. Got the job offer as Inspector of Central Excise under Sports Quota for excellent performance in the Kabaddi sports in the University level competitions.

I'm Devakumar Ratnaraj, and I bring over three decades of experience in the dynamic world of computer science. Receiving the chance to pursue an education in a nascent field like computer science three decades ago in our locality was a stroke of good fortune, and I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Aditanar College and my dedicated faculties. Following my graduation, my path led me to assist numerous Indian companies during their initial phases of embracing IT technologies. Throughout my career, I've been fortunate to actively participate in a diverse array of projects across India, the USA, and Europe. I take great pride in my two-decade-long affiliation with Infosys Limited, where I currently hold the position of Cloud Technical Architect. I've had the opportunity to work with numerous Fortune 500 enterprises, including renowned companies like Microsoft Corporation. I'm passionate about problem-solving and mentoring young minds as they embark on their initial journey into the world of IT career.

A Software Entrepreneur with a Passion to democratize automation. Born and raised in a small village in India, he was fascinated and fortunate to work with Computers at a young age. His father, a schoolteacher, always believed in him and enrolled him in a weekend programming class when he was in school. That's where his passion for software began. He was the school topper in the SSLC (10th standard/grade) and H.Sc (12th standard/grade) in N.V.C Government School, Radhapuram in 1990 and 1992 respectively. He joined Aditanar College of Arts & Science (ACAS) in 1992 for a B.Sc (Computer Science) degree which laid a strong foundation on computer science; thanks to the wonderful faculties, library, and lab. He graduated in 1995 as a gold medalist and the topper at the university level in computer science (Manonmaniam Sundaranar University). He further accomplished a Master's in Computer Application (M.C.A) as a topper with Madurai Kamaraj University in 1998. He joined Wipro Technologies (erstwhile Wipro Systems) in 1998 as a campus recruit, where he worked for 8 years in software product development and deployment to grow as a leader. He continued his corporate career with INTEC, 2006-2010 and CSG, 2010-2016 holding various leadership positions, gaining a wealth of experience in the software industry. Despite the successful corporate career, he never forgot his dream of becoming an entrepreneur. In 2016, he founded Jivrus Technologies, a company that develops software products to automate business processes with a mission to democratize digital automation for every business and individual. Today, Jivrus Technologies is a Google partner (technology) and Zoho partner (marketplace) with an integration automation software platform used by thousands of people around the world as SaaS. Currently working for Transport of New South Wales (Australian Government Organization) as an Enterprise Architect under deputation from Wipro and managing 62 projects. I am Rajesh Kannan. I am working in the Department of Tamilnadu Fire and Rescue Services as District fire officer. At present, I am in charge of Chengalpattu district. During the period 1988-91, I have completed my science (chemistry) graduation and also completed my PG course in English Literature during 1992-94. I am very proud to say that I am an alumni of Aditanar college. I learnt many values from our College. I have acquired management skills, leadership qualities and administration skills from Aditanar College. I have developed my personality during my period in the college only. I regularly attended the Value education class and many other meetings conducted in the college. The classes have given valuable lessons to me personally and officially also. The professors vide their lectures shaped me. 'They gave me confidence and 'What I am today' is because of the valuable lessons I learnt from the college.

He was a proud student of BBA in Aditanar, College during 1971-74 and immediately after completing his MBA course in PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore in March 1976, he was picked up by PSG Tech as Associate Lecturer. In his MBA Programme, he had stood first in the Madras University and won the Gold Medal. After completing a full academic year, he joined IndianOil as an Officer Trainee in March 1977. He was devoted to IndianOil and had held varied responsible positions including Divisional Heads of IndianOil, Madurai & Kolkata. In September 2005, he was picked up for the foreign assignment in Sri Lanka as Managing Director, Lanka IOC PLC, (which is a subsidiary company of IndianOil) which position he served till December 2008. He revitalised Lanka IOC with the Collection of fuel subsidy dues of USD 75 Million from the Government of Sri Lanka, Construction and commissioning of a Lube Blending Plant at terror torn Trincomallee and Commencement of bunker fuels sales, in addition to launching braded fuels and revitalising the retail business. In Dec 2008, he was posted at IOC Marketing HQ, Mumbai as GM (Consumer Sales) followed by posting at Chennai as General Manager in different capacities. He superannuated in November, 2012. He has served IndianOil for over 35 years. He is happily settled down at Tiruchendur with his wife Smt. R. Leela. His daughter and family are settled down in US and son is in business at Chennai.

D.Jebaraj Mahildoss after completing his M.Sc. degree in Madras Christian college he worked as PG Asst in Chemistry in K.A.Higher secondary School Arumuganeri where he studied prior to joining in the department of Atomic Energy Mumbai in 1987. At present he is senior scientist and responsible for Fast Reactor Nuclear Fuel Reprocessing in Indra Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research, Kalpakkam.His areas of expertise and research interests are related to remote analysis and accounting of Special Nuclear material to minimise man-rem exposure. He is recipient of DAE Group excellence awards for successful operation of Fast reactor reprocessing plant for the first time in the world. He has several publications in reputed international journals like Journal of Radio Analytical and Nuclear Chemistry in the disciplines of his research interests.

I am V Mahalingam IRS retired Chief Commissioner of Income Tax. I studied in the esteemed Aditanar College of Arts and Science Tiruchendur from the year 1975 to 1979. I did the Pre University Course(PUC) and BSc(Mathematics) in that college. Most of the students studying in the college were from very remote rural villages and economically weaker section. Most of the parents were not educated. I was also one among such students. We could not get much guidance from the parents and relatives. But our esteemed college took care of us very well in motivating guiding educating us. In our college there is a system of allocating each student to a Prof who is the Advisor for the student. An Advisor will guide 20 students each. The Advisor will be like our parent who will take care of all our problems and hand hold us and help to solve all our problems. He will do SWOT analysis of all the students and counsel the students to overcome the weaknesses and strengthening our abilities. They will guide the students about the future opportunities available to the students, about the competitive exams like civil services exam etc. This advisor system helped all the poor and rural students to come up in life with the hand holding of the Advisors. The Advisor System available in our college helps the poor students to come up in life in achieving like IAS IPS IRS officers , very senior Officers in Banks ,armed forces ,Chartered Accounts ,Professors ,Principals Scientists etc. We could come up in life only because of our esteemed college and the esteemed management of the college and respected Principals and Professors of our Aditanar College and we are ever thankful to our esteemed college and the management and teachers and staff of our college.

Shri S. Machendranathan IAS, who hails from Tirunelveli District, Tamil Nadu. He completed B B.A degree in 1971-74 batch at Aditanar College of Arts and Science, Tiruchendur. After completing MBA from Cochin University he joined the Indian Police Service (IPS) in 1977 and thereafter the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) in 1979. An IAS officer of the Tamil Nadu cadre, Shri S. Machendranathan held several positions in the Government of Tamil Nadu and in the Central Government of India. In the Government of Tamil Nadu, he worked as Collector of Thanjavur District; Commissioner/Secretary to the Government of Tamil Nadu in the Departments of Transport, Food, Cooperation and Consumer Protection; Chairman of Tamil Nadu Electricity Board. In the Government of India, he worked as a leader of VOC Port Trust, Tuticorin; Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor in the Ministry of Steel as well as in the Ministry of Civil Aviation and finally as Secretary (Coordination) in Cabinet Secretariat, before superannuating from the Government Service in March, 2014. He has also served as Government Director in several Public Sector companies such as Air India, Airports Authority of India, Steel Authority of India Limited, Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited, Kudremukh Iron Ore Company Limited and Metallurgical & Engineering Consultants (India) Limited. I am R. Arumugapandi, MA, BL, CAIIB, retired as Chief General Manager of State Bank of India. I did my PUC and BSc(Mathamatics) during 1975-1979 in our esteemed institution. I stayed in Gandhi Hostel during those 4 years and Shri Mahalingam, Dr. Gnanaraj Thomas, Dr. Gnanaseelan, Dr. Andiappan were my BSc classmates. My native place is Kundal, a village with 60 hamlets near ovari and I am the first Graduate in my family. But for the management scholarship, I might not have pursued my graduate degree. I was very active in NCC(Naval wing) and extra curricular activities other than sports. I discontinued my post-graduation in MSc Mathematics at ANJAC, Sivakasi due to the then prevailing family circumstances and joined the Telephone Department as a Telephone Operator. I later joined as Junior Engineer in Delhi Telephones. I cleared civil service’s preliminary exam twice. However, joined as a Probationary Officer in SBI in 1983 and rose in the hierarchy and retired as CGM. In SBI, I was one of the 16 fast track DGMs qualified out of nearly 2400 AGMs competed in the year 2005 for promotion. I have worked in all the metro centres of our country as well as Guwahati, Assam. While working I have completed MA(Economics) through Correspondence and BL through Chennai Law(evening) college. Post-retirement, I worked as a General Manager in TMB Ltd for 3 1/2 years. I had been to 9 foreign countries and trained in international schools like London School of Economics, ESSEC Business School, Paris etc. The happiest moment in my life was that my marriage was conducted in the presence of our beloved principal Shri. Kanagasabapathy at Madurai. The second memorable occasion was that the college honoured me by inviting to be the Chief Guest of Annual day functions in March 2017. Will be ever grateful to the College and Staff.

Mr. Sivamanikandan hails from a humble social background, and his time at Aditanar College of Arts and Science left a lasting impact on his life. Reflecting on the years 2005-2008 and beyond, he expresses deep appreciation for the mentorship provided by faculty members across various departments and the college principal. Apart from his undergraduate studies, he pursued an MCA from Chirthuraj College, Barathidathisan University. Presently, he holds the position of a Solution Architect at SEDIN TECHNOLOGIES, specializing in Ruby on Rails, Node.js, React JS, and many niche technologies. With a track record of successfully overseeing multiple projects, he has garnered praise from numerous satisfied clients. During a visit to Australia for client interactions and requirement gathering, he secured a new account for the company. He possesses the ability to manage numerous clients. He plays a significant part in guiding the team. He oversees a team of over 30 individuals.
